What this website collects, why, and who sees it. No padding.
Show-Me Home Repairs is a one-person business in Warrensburg, Missouri. We are not in the data business, we don't sell anything about you to anybody, and we collect as little as we can get away with.
What you hand us on purpose
When you send a request through this site, you give us your name, your phone number, your email, the property address, and a description of the work. We use that to quote the job, schedule it, do it, and invoice it. That's the whole list.
Those requests go into Jobber, the software we use to run scheduling and invoicing, and into email. If you become a customer, your job history and invoices live in Jobber so you can see them in the client portal.
What gets collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics. It sets a cookie and tells us things like which pages get visited, how people found us, and whether they're on a phone or a computer. We look at it to learn which services people actually care about.
It does not tell us who you are. We can see that someone in Warrensburg read the pricing page. We cannot see that it was you.
If you'd rather not be counted, Google publishes an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and every major browser lets you block cookies.
Photos of the work
We photograph work areas before, during, and after a job. That's how we document what a place looked like when we got there and what we did to it.
Our service agreement asks your permission to use job photos in our own marketing, and when we do, they never include your name, your address, your face, or anything that identifies where you live. You can withdraw that permission in writing at any time and we'll stop using photos of your property in anything new.
Who else touches it
A few services we use to run the business, and nobody else:
- Jobber, for scheduling, quotes, and invoices
- Google Analytics, for website traffic
- Netlify, which hosts this site
- Our email provider
- Our payment processor, when you pay an invoice
We don't sell your information. We don't rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. The only time we'd give it to anyone else is if the law required it.
How long we keep it
Job records and invoices stay as long as we need them for warranty claims, taxes, and our own records. If you asked for a quote and never hired us, that request eventually gets cleared out.
Asking us to delete it
Email josh@show-mehomerepairs.com or call (660) 454-0991 and ask what we have on you, or ask us to delete it. We'll do it, apart from anything we're legally required to keep, like invoices for tax purposes.
Kids
This site isn't for children and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this changes, the date below changes with it.
